Using the correct and updated master data is the key of success for electronical business. Most of the errors during ordering result from incorrect master data. For EDIWheel, the most important master data source is the Price Catalogue (PriCat). Beside this, the Marketing Catalogue (MktCat) offers master data for marketing related topics.

The correct master data needs to be shared by the supplier and set up into the customer’s system before the EDI connection is activated. Afterwards, it needs to be kept up-to-date all the time. It’s comprehensive and standard format makes it easy to integrate.

Price Catalogue (PriCat)

Scope

With the PriCat, suppliers share their current tire portfolio with its customers. It contains all the materials, the list price and most of the technical details per tire which is needed for tire dealers. Only the currently offered materials are shown in the PriCat.

Format

Traditional EDI (EDIFACT) or CSV flat file

Frequency

Provided by supplier ideally at least once per month. Can be sent anytime but customer and supplier need to agree about frequency and lead time until PriCat is set up in customer’s system before order process can be activated.

Marketing Catalogue (MktCat)

Scope

With the MktCat, suppliers share their current tire marketing content with its customers. It is organized per tire design (tread pattern) and contains marketing information such as text/wordings, tire pictures, graphics, test results and more. Main purpose is to provide an up-to-date marketing information for remote dealer portals or for other dealer product marketing purposes.
